About Me

Mahjong has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. From the time I was born, Wednesday nights in our house meant Mahj. My mom and my aunt have been playing with the same group of friends for over 50 years, and I grew up watching them from the top of the stairs, listening to their laughter, their conversations, and the rhythm of the game. Every so often, I’d sneak down to grab a few of the snacks before running back up. “Crack, bam, soap…” mixed with chatter, teasing and the occasional expletive when someone stole the winning hand. That was the soundtrack of my childhood, and it shaped the way I think about friendship, tradition, and joy.

Almost a decade ago, I started playing with my friends, carrying on the same tradition. What I’ve come to love most isn’t just the game itself, but the sisterhood it creates. Mahjong brings people together, weaving connection into every shuffle of the tiles.

That love is what inspired me to create Wind & Flower Co. I’m excited to share these beautiful, elevated sets, along with pieces I’ve selected from exciting vendors. Each item is chosen with care to celebrate the heritage of Mahj while adding something fresh and modern. For me, it’s about honouring tradition while making space for new memories around the table.

Away from the game, I’m a proud wife and mom. My husband Sean has been endlessly supportive, and our twins, Zoe and Dylan, are off building their own lives. With them finding their paths, Mahj and the friendships around it have become an even more meaningful part of mine.
